“January 9, 2010 In My Own Words I was born into this life a silent girl. I was not able to tell my parents even the most urgent things, like being in pain. I was left lonely and frustrated beyond words. I was never supposed to be intellectually capable of even the simplest things, like knowing the alphabet. I think you have to live silently to understand what it feels like. . . .”
